Dr. G N Var, President of the Private Schools Association of Jammu and Kashmir (PSAJK), extended his heartfelt congratulations to all the private school managements and their students who have successfully passed their 10th Class examinations, the results of which were declared today. Dr. Var emphasized that this outstanding achievement is a testament to the unwavering hard work, dedication, and perseverance demonstrated by the private school managements, their staff, and their students. He noted that this milestone reflects the quality education and robust support system provided by these institutions.
Dr. Var highlighted that as schools celebrate this important achievement, it is crucial to continue upgrading educational skills and methodologies to keep pace with the evolving educational landscape. He urged all educational stakeholders to remain committed to continuous improvement and innovation in teaching practices. PSAJK takes immense pride in the private school community, which has shown resilience and determination in the face of various challenges, including those posed by government regulations.
The impressive success rate of over 91% among private school students is a clear indicator of the effective strategies and rigorous efforts implemented by private schools. This success comes despite numerous obstacles, including what Dr. Var described as the “illegal tagging” of hundreds of private schools by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE). This tagging creates a misleading pass percentage of 71% for government schools, as many students who passed through government schools have principally studied in private schools.
Dr. Var expressed hope and confidence that private school managements will continue to strive for excellence and work diligently towards achieving their educational goals. He believes that the private education sector will keep setting higher benchmarks and contribute significantly to the overall development of the education system in the region.
