Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education Issues Notification for Unfair Means and Misconduct Cases

Jammu, May 17, 2024 – The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has issued an important notification for candidates of Higher Secondary Part-II (12th Class) Annual/Regular Examination, 2024, from both Soft and Hard Zone areas of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

The notification addresses those candidates who are alleged to have engaged in various forms of misconduct during the examinations. These allegations include the use of unfair means, misbehavior, tearing of answer sheets, and the use of non-prescribed ink.

The accused candidates are required to appear before the Committee for scrutiny and disposal of their cases. The hearings will take place in the Office Chambers of the Joint Secretary, Secrecy, JD. Candidates must attend these hearings at their own expense to defend themselves against the charges.

The schedule for these hearings is detailed in the notification, and the candidates must strictly adhere to it. Failure to appear will result in the assumption that the candidate has no defense to offer, and the Sub-Committee will make a final decision based on the available records and reports. This decision will be binding on the candidates.
